Philippine-based online betting site, WB7, has become the new sponsor of PSV Eindhoven’s training kit. The two-year deal will see WB7 provide all of the club’s players with premium shirts and shorts for their warm-up sessions throughout this season and next.
In addition to providing gear for team members, WB7 is also set to bring a brand new logo to the forefront on all items that will be seen by fans around Europe and Asia, where Dutch football enjoys a significant following.
The sponsorship will also showcase WB7 in all of PSV Eindhoven’s matches and on its social media platforms and live streaming site. According to Toon Gerbrands, General Manager at PSV Eindhoven, “WB7 is a strong brand with international recognition that fits well with the profile of our club.” This partnership marks their first foray into football marketing.
This agreement is an example of how brands are seeking more opportunities to connect with sports teams through training kits, given that there are now fewer opportunities for commercial signage at these events due the economic crisis that’s brought about the pandemic.
In a recent interview, Kelvin Ho, Media Director of WB7, stated that he was thrilled with this opportunity to sponsor one of the most successful teams in Holland. “We are very proud that our partnership with PSV will help them achieve their goals both on and off the pitch,” Ho added. It also marks an important step forward for the online casino to expand globally.
WB7 is also set to work closely with PSV for over two years on soccer-related projects, including sponsoring youth development programs and international tournaments in Asia. This is a great opportunity for both parties as they will be able to grow closer together while gaining more exposure in Europe’s football market.
